Dusty Boynton, Red, 2009, mixed media on paper, 38 7/8 x 46 7/8 inches |
really enjoy the use of muted and muddied colors paired w/bright, garish ones. and the general messiness and immediacy of these drawings/paintings.

|
Brice Marden, Summer Letter, 2010, Oil on linen, 96 x 144 inches |
even though these were big ass paintings, they almost didn't seem like it. the muted color palette and his hypnotic lines made everything calm and understated.
