Boynton, Marden & Rauschenberg

Dusty Boynton, What's Normal, mixed media on paper 36 x 44 inches
made it out to these shows one day last week. almost didn't go but so very glad i did. Dusty Boynton @ Denise Bibro Fine Art, Brice Marden @ Matthew Marks, and Robert Rauschenberg @ Gagosian.

Dusty Boynton, Red, 2009, mixed media on paper, 38 7/8 x 46 7/8 inches
really enjoy the use of muted and muddied colors paired w/bright, garish ones. and the general messiness and immediacy of these drawings/paintings.

Dusty Boynton, Dark Spirit, 2010, mixed media on paper, 38 7/8 x 46 7/8 inches

Brice Marden, Summer Letter, 2010, Oil on linen, 96 x 144 inches
even though these were big ass paintings, they almost didn't seem like it. the muted color palette and his hypnotic lines made everything calm and understated.
