i love everything about this painting. it's painted beautifully, just look at his red satin costume! the toppled foot rest, the little classes of rose or what ever, and that great little silver pitcher. what is going on here? what is she looking at? and what kinda sweet talk is he serving?...and those blooming roses climbing the trellis behind them....beauty.
