Nicole Eisenman, Beer Garden with Ash at Leo Koenig, Inclike that the beers in this painting are all Hoegaarden. besides that, really like her 21st century interpretation of french impressionist subject matter. she mixes muted colors w/acidic ones; and i always enjoy that. there's another painting w/a big bright orange cat - love it. her paintings are lush and i enjoy seeing a thick application of paint. the color coming from the small light bulbs hung around the trees is a wonderful sour light yellow-green. great stuff!
Sarah Morris, Portuguese Bowline at Friedrich Petzel Galleryshe makes films too, can't wait to see one.
Jim Gaylord, Particulated Bronco at Jeff Bailey Gallerywhat the hell is going on in these paintings! they're so surreal w/their recognizable forms morphed into abstract shapes. they're a mystery and i can look at them for days.
Jered Sprecher, Nature of Analog at Jeff Bailey Galleryreally like the acid colors and bold use of geometric shapes. check out his website for a lot more
Wolfgang Laib, Frieze of Life at Sean Kelly GalleryThis color was so much more intense. a big beautiful space of saturated color
